The set is supplied complete with two Astral mattresses, two solid divan bases and two split Chelsea headboards. The buttoned headboard face gives depth and texture rather than a flat panel of fabric, which lifts a plain room and shows up well in listing photography.

Conversion is simple. Linking bars secure the two bases together at the head and foot so they do not separate in use, and reinforced zips join the mattresses down the centre. No tools are required, so housekeeping can switch a room over during a normal changeover.

King and queen sizes cover standard twin and double layouts. There is a logistical benefit too: two single bases and mattresses are far easier to carry up narrow stairs, around tight landings and into older buildings than one large bed.
